Qurayyah Combined Cycle Power Plant, Saudi Arabia
At 4000 MW, the Qurayyah IPP (Independent Power Producer) project on the east coast of Saudi Arabia was one of the world’s largest combined cycle power plants at the time of its development. Initially, Fichtner supported Saudi Electricity Company as strategic and technical advisor during the tendering process up to contract conclusion and financial close. During the construction phase, we were retained by the project company as owner’s engineer to provide design review and support during technical execution.
