Optimal development of a coal port with pre-feasibility study for a coal-fired power plant, Croatia
The operator of the port in Ploce plans to strengthen its key role for coal handling in Croatia and neighboring Balkan countries. Under a feasibility study, the following investigations were undertaken: future development of coal demand for industry and energy supply in the region with their impacts on port logistics; feasibility study for construction of a new 400/800 MW coal-fired power plant at the port; drawing up a business plan for developing an 800 MW unit at the location.
