Civil Engineering and Structural Planning

In the sector of civil structures, we can boast a large number of successfully realized projects. Our experience encompasses planning of retaining structures and construction pits of all types, bridge structures and underpasses as well as tank and silo installations. Also included in our services portfolio are rail stations and platforms with disabled access. We process the full range of services phases: establishing the project basis; preliminary and final design; permit application; preparing detail drawings; preparations for contract award and assisting in the award process; construction oversight; project governance; and documentation, and offer additionally damage appraisals and devising the required rehabilitation concepts.

When undertaking structural planning our objective is to develop optimized structures – from preliminary planning, through layout planning of the entire structure, up to detail engineering. When preparing structural calculations, we also attach great importance to factoring in financial targets for construction and subsequent utilization.

One focus of our engineering activities is directed to industrial facilities and process plant, so we are well versed in dealing with constricted building plots, conversions and extensions of existing facilities, problematical foundation conditions, and challenging technical requirements for structures and their foundations.

Principal structure types:

  • Power plants and industrial facilities
  • Commercial and industrial buildings
  • Civil structures

BIM – 3D planning in all project phases
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is used to create a digital model containing all the relevant planning data of a building. For example, we apply this method in our work for the German Aerospace Center (DLR):
