Lender’s engineering for a biomass power plant, Belgium
Fichtner was retained by the investor and the financing banks to monitor erection and commissioning of a biomass power plant in Belgium. It is fueled with discarded wood and comprises a fluidized bed boiler and condensing turbine-generator with an electrical rating of 25 MW. The task comprised monitoring of erection and installation with checks of project progress. During commissioning, Fichtner supervised quality assurance, partial acceptances and final acceptance as well as acceptance measurements.
