Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) contracted KPMG and Fichtner as consultants for different IPP Advisory Services to increase the capacity at the MBR Solar Park to 5000 MW by 2030. The scope of services encompassed, amongst others, preparation of technology description and selection (PV, CSP, storage), site investigation, layout options including infrastructure requirements, techno-economic optimization of the best technology split for the 5 GW, including capacity credit analysis of the solar power expansion planning, multi criteria assessment of specific technologies in multiple configurations considering applicability and Environmental Impact Assessment of the 5 GW extension. Fichtner has carried out several workshops, trainings, and presentations for DEWA staff in Dubai.
