Technical due diligence for a new LNG terminal, Uruguay
In Montevideo, an LNG terminal with a process capacity of 10,000 m³/d liquefied natural gas was constructed. The project also included a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), a pier for LNG tankers and a link to the country's gas transmission grid. Under contract to the financing banks, Fichtner undertook technical due diligence audits for the onshore facilities and the FSRU. Additionally, as Lender‘s Engineer, we were entrusted with site supervision for construction of the entire terminal.
