Rehabilitation of power plant I&C installations in Cairo, Egypt
In the context of environmental protection measures at thermal power plants in Egypt, the KfW Development Bank financed comprehensive rehabilitation of Shoubra El Kheima Power Plant in Cairo. With its four 315 MW power generating units, this is the biggest power plant in this mega-city. Fichtner supported the Project sponsor and KfW by preparing planning and tender documents, selecting bidders and site supervision as well as by checking emissions and monitoring fuel consumption over a period of two years following commissioning.
