Owner’s Engineer for a 80 MW wind energy project, Jordan

In the south of Jordan a wind farm with 40 turbines each of 2 MW is being erected. The Jordan Ministry of Energy contracted Fichtner to prepare the plant conceptual design and draw up the tender documents, evaluate the bids and provide assistance during contract negotiations. Additionally, Fichtner ran a check of the environmental and social impact of the installations and undertook network studies to analyze the wind farm's impact on the HV grid. Throughout the construction period, we monitor and coordinate the activities of the general contractor.
