Planning a solar test facility, Qatar
The client is developing a facility for demonstrating and testing solar technologies at Qatar Science & Technology Park. The aim is to gather data on the performance and operability of solar energy technologies, focusing on the effect of local conditions in Qatar and the Gulf Region on their performance. Fichtner previously had been retained by GreenGulf to undertake conceptual engineering of the test facility. Under a further assignment Fichtner assists in planning, technical specifications, detail engineering, acceptance and commissioning.
