Shams One solar thermal power plant, United Arab Emirates
The Shams One 100 MWe solar collector plant in Abu Dhabi is one of the biggest solar thermal facilities in the world. Acting as technical consultant, Fichtner initially supported the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (ADFEC/MASDAR) in the project development phase. We were responsible for feasibility study, detail engineering and drafting of tender documents, and also oversaw the transaction through to contract award. As owner´s engineer, Fichtner is responsible for project management, design review of the EPC contractor´s documents as well as supervision of construction and commissioning.
