Elaboration of a renewable energies master plan, Bhutan
With funding from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Bhutan is planning to increasingly promote renewable energies. In this context, Fichtner has been awarded a contract by the ADB to develop a master plan. For this purpose, we analyze the potentials of wind, solar and bioenergy as well as small hydropower within the country. We identify obstacles to establishing a sustainable energy supply and work out solutions for overcoming these.
