Permit management for a coal-fired power plant, Germany
Following a comparison of sites, for three locations, Fichtner undertook all permit management functions for the coal-fired power plant in Wilhelmshaven on behalf of the client. Key activities are holding consultations with regulatory agencies, tendering for and awarding contracts for expert appraisals, preparing scoping hearings, drawing up and coordinating permit applications, preparing for and conducting official hearings, and overseeing monitoring programs. During construction and commissioning, Fichtner tracked compliance with the permit conditions.
