In Pforzheim, the Tiergarten Residential Building Project “Accommodation with Service” is under construction. As a project partner, Fichtner was responsible for structural engineering. Four five-story point blocks were built over an elongated joint underground garage. Because the construction plot is located in an area of artesian water, the structure had to be of impermeable concrete. In line with the developer’s requirements, reduced dimensions and generous ground plans in a compact design and making maximum use of the construction plot were realized. Planning was done more or less as construction proceeded in close coordination with technical installations and always aiming for an optimal construction process.
