Traffic concept for the City of Rheinfelden/Baden, Germany
By updating and developing Rheinfelden’s traffic concept, following an analysis of road use, alternative road network concepts and options for improved traffic control were developed and assessed. The traffic model was updated on the basis of a one-day traffic survey that took the form of interviews and traffic counts. Within the framework of the traffic concept, Fichtner worked out proposals for guidance of individual motorized traffic and, depending on road functions, developed an updated road network hierarchy.
