Construction of flue gas desulfurization plants for Maritza East 2 Power Plant, Bulgaria
Units 5 and 6 of Maritza East 2 Power Plant in South Bulgaria were equipped with flue gas desulfurization plants. Fichtner prepared the conceptual engineering and drew up the tender documents in accordance with the FIDIC Yellow Book. Fichtner also undertook bid evaluation and assisted during contract award in accordance with EBRD procedures. This was followed by design review, permit application planning, site supervision and overseeing commissioning.
