New implementation of the member management, Christlich-Soziale Union in Bayern e. V. (CSU), Germany
The Christian Social Union (CSU) is the third largest political party in Germany and as a regional party, has been shaping Bavarian politics for many decades. To enable the details of the party’s more than 130,000 members to be managed more efficiently, Fichtner IT Consulting has exported the content of the legacy application known as “Member Administration” and successfully converted and imported it into a system that is now based on future-proof, robust and secure standard Microsoft technologies.
The CTO of the CSU’s state executive had the following to say about this successful project: “The agreed approach of a semi-automated switchover of the application while, as much as possible, retaining the familiar user logic and interfaces ensured real advantages for us in terms of the speed of implementation, security, maintainability, and keeping the amount of retraining required by the CSU team to a minimum.”
