General planning of a high-efficiency gas engine combined heat and power plant, Germany

To ensure the supply of heat to the city of Kiel, a power plant with 20 gas engines was built in combination with a heat accumulator tank and an electrode boiler. The heat accumulator tank enables flexible decoupling of the electricity and heat generation, while the electrode boiler additionally provides heat generation from an excess supply of electricity from renewable energy sources. We provided services ranging from preliminary and basic engineering, to permit management, through to site supervision.

  • Overseeing the entire bidding and contract award process including drawing up the tender documents and participating in the contract award negotiations for all lots
  • Checking the lot contractors’ detailed engineering (design review)
