Reorganization of a water and sanitation utility, Germany
Fichtner derived on basis of the strategic objectives the strategic business units and based on those a process model has been defined for the water and waste water company. Based on the process model the operational structure with approximately 700 employees was fundamentally reviewed together with the management and a new organizational structure was developed with the aid of a “Greenfield” approach. The essential processes, in particular relating to the roles between “Asset Management” and “Asset Service” have been optimized and job descriptions adapted. Furthermore, Fichtner developed as part of a permanent establishment concept a regional structure for all locations.
