Structural Engineer in Hydropower (m/f/x)

Your Tasks

  • Contribution in civil/structural engineering aspects of hydropower projects at different levels such as Feasibility Studies, Basic/Tender Design as well as Detailed Design and construction for greenfield and rehabilitation hydropower projects
  • Review/comment an existing civil/structural design of HPP project components.
  • Design Review as Owner’s Engineer during execution phase of hydropower projects worldwide
  • Structural stability analysis of hydraulic structures, such as weirs, barrages, dams, waterways, etc.
  • Structural analysis and design of different components of Hydropower Structures on Detailed Design Level including layout and reinforcement drawings
  • Experience and theoretical background in finite element analysis of structures and being familiar with a commercial structural analysis and design software package,
  • Preparation of Technical Specifications for Civil Works

Your Profile

  • At least, Master in Civil Engineering with focus on structural engineering and hydraulics
  • More than 10 years experience working in a similar context preferably as structural engineer in hydropower projects
  • Experience in relevant engineering topics with application of standard software tools
  • Knowledge of BIM and Autodesk products such as Revit and Civil3D
  • Basic knowledge in geotechnical design required for structural analysis and design of foundations and stability analysis of the structures
  • Being familiar with related American and European design standards and codes
  • Working experience on international and national level
  • Fluency in English, good knowledge of French
  • Willingness to undertake regular trips to the project countries
