About The Division
The hydropower projects department implements all phases of hydropower projects, from the pre-feasibility study through to acceptance testing. Our international engineering team has 40 employees with expertise in run-of-river hydropower plants, storage power plants and pumped storage hydropower plants. This department also works on dam projects for irrigating agricultural land or protecting against flooding.

Mechanical Engineer (m/f/x) for International Hydropower Projects
Your Tasks
- Advising our clients all over the world on electromechanical and mechanical engineering aspects of hydropower plants
- Conducting feasibility studies and detail engineering
- Preparing conceptual designs, studies, plans and project documentation
- Conducting surveys, inspections and assessments of facilities in due diligence and rehabilitation projects for existing hydropower plants
- Compiling tender dossiers, technical specifications and contract documents
- Reviewing the documents of contractors and suppliers
- Taking part in on-site tests and supervising the installation and commissioning of equipment and systems for hydropower plants in Germany and abroad
Your Profile
- University degree in mechanical engineering or a similar qualification
- Extensive professional experience in the field of power plant engineering, ideally specializing in hydropower projects
- Team player who enjoys working in an intercultural environment
- A very good command of German and English, while additional language skills would be an advantage
- Willingness to travel as part of projects (approx. 20-25%)
