Project Manager for High-Voltage Cable Systems (m/f/x)

At our recently founded offices in Hamburg and Hannover, you will work together with the experts from our home office in Stuttgart in managing national planning projects related to Germany’s transition to renewable energies.

Your tasks

Our “Power Transmission and Distribution” department focuses on planning and optimizing installations. This primarily relates to high-voltage alternating current and high-voltage direct current trans-mission on all voltage levels, both via overhead and gas-insulated transmission lines (GIL) and via cables, transformer substations, open-air switchgear and gas-insulated switchgear (GIS). Working in a team of 40 engineers, you will be responsible for:
  • Planning and designing high-voltage and extra high-voltage cable systems with the emphasis on surveying and line routing, construction and logistics
  • Preparing requirements dossiers comprising invitation-to-tender texts, specifications, data sheets, drawings and layouts
  • Comparing and evaluating bids / contractual specifications versus requirements dossiers
  • Reviewing planning documents
  • Assuming technical project responsibility for engineering

Your profile

  • Electrical engineer with many years of experience in planning and erecting cable systems for medium or extra high-voltage power transmission
  • Fluent in German
  • Team player; experience as a project manager would be an advantage
  • Willingness to travel on day trips to oversee national projects, primarily in the Hamburg and Hannover area as well as North and East Germany
