We are looking to fill the a permanent position with a

Country and Senior Project Manager Hydrogen (m/w/x)

Your Tasks

You will set up the Santiago de Chile office for Fichtner around the subject of hydrogen. In doing so, you will have a broad, varied range of tasks with great opportunities to shape and develop the business. With the staff at our head office, you will have a team of experienced engineers and consultants at your disposal from day one to support you in project execution and acquisition. Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Building up a local presence
  • Acting as the interface to head office in Stuttgart as well as other offices in Latin America
  • Selecting suitable employees for the Santiago de Chile office
  • Executing and managing consulting projects and engineering services on various issues in the context of decarbonization, sustainability, and energy system integration
  • Conducting techno-economic analyses and assessments of business models, project portfolios, and existing facilities and infrastructures (due diligence)
  • Performing strategic monitoring and assessment of the local market’s hydrogen segment and related areas of the energy sector as well as supporting sales and business development

Your Profile

  • Education: You have successfully completed a degree in business administration, industrial engineering, engineering, or a similar subject.
  • Experience: Due to your career background, you are already familiar with managing projects and employees, and ideally you have already developed a business segment or an office.
  • Personality: You have experience in dealing with clients and managing various stakeholders. You enjoy learning new things by sharing with others and are able to impress us with your creativity, communication skills, ability to work in a team, and assertiveness.
  • Motivation: You are interested in tackling the technical and economic aspects of hydrogen projects and are enthusiastic about setting up a new office.
  • Knowledge:Through relevant, practical experience, you are familiar with both the technical and economic aspects of (renewable) energy, and ideally you already have knowledge in the field of hydrogen
  • Skills: You have the necessary methodological expertise to process and communicate complicated topics in a concise and appropriate manner.
  • Abilities: You have quick comprehension, analytical thinking as well as an independent and proactive way of working.
  • Languages: A business-fluent command of Spanish and a very good command of English. Knowledge of German would be an advantage.
