About The Division
The hydropower projects department implements all phases of hydropower projects, from the pre-feasibility study through to acceptance testing. Our international engineering team has 40 employees with expertise in run-of-river hydropower plants, storage power plants and pumped storage hydropower plants. This department also works on dam projects for irrigating agricultural land or protecting against flooding.

Civil Engineer as Project Manager for Hydropower Projects
Your Tasks
- Managing projects involving the planning of hydropower plants and supervising interdisciplinary engineering project teams
- Liaising with and supporting clients in the planning and execution phase
- Planning hydropower plants in different phases from the concept phase through to the feasibility study for new-build and rehabilitation projects
- Assisting in the preparation of technical proposals for engineering services
- Designing hydraulic engineering facilities, such as weirs, dams, reservoirs and waterways
- Performing numerical modeling of hydraulics and sediment transport in rivers
- Drawing up cost estimates and schedules
- Conducting due diligence of new hydropower plants and existing plants
Your Profile
- Master’s degree in civil engineering specializing in hydraulic engineering or hydraulics
- Five years of experience in similar fields
- Experience in planning hydraulic engineering facilities and hydropower plants in new-build and rehabilitation projects
- Project experience in an international context and ideally in German-speaking countries
- A very good command of English, while a command of German or French would be an advantage
- Willingness to undertake occasional business trips abroad
